Growing 16-person transportation planning, policy, and analytics consulting firm seeks a transportation technical planning expert for a full-time position that requires a combination of analytical, project management, programming, and research skills.
New hire will support planning, programming, and policy work for a range of Federal, state, and MPO clients. The right candidate must possess both technical and policy-oriented planning skills, understanding of asset management practices, proven writing ability, aptitude for managing multiple tasks, and a strong interest in creative and critical thinking with regard to consideration of transportation issues. Must be self-motivated and comfortable executing tasks independently. Duties may include:
System conditions forecasting;
Data, statistical and spatial analytics;
Economic analysis; and
Developing code for programs and applications
LOCATION & TRAVEL
High Street’s team and clients are located throughout the United States. This position may require travel. Office location is flexible.

5 years of work experience or master’s degree in transportation planning or similar discipline; Undergraduate degree in engineering (preferred).
Must possess permanent U.S. work authorization.
Experience assessing transportation asset conditions and using statistics to provide meaningful inputs to forecasting models based on large datasets.
The ability to write code using a statistical or data analysis coding language to forecast the performance of a transportation system across a wide variety of performance measures or indicators.
Proven track record prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated ability to write clearly and succinctly.
