The City of Las Cruces/Utilities Department
Provide assistance to the Utilities Director in assuring the effective coordination of Utility Services programs and strategies required to meet the City's goals and objectives in providing sustainable quality and cost-effective services. Position requires work beyond normal business hours including evenings and weekends, occasional travel within and outside the state and responding to customer issues. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. Position is subject to drug testing in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and City of Las Cruces policies.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, Business or Public Administration, or related field.
PLUS five (5) years of management experience in private or public utilities, to include three (3) years of supervisory experience. A combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.
Valid Class D driver's license may be required or preferred. If applicable, position requires an acceptable driving record in accordance with City policy.
State of New Mexico registration as a Professional Engineer may be preferred
