We are looking for an Engineering Manager that will embrace our culture as well as our strategic plan and become an important part of our leadership team. This person must possess and provide leadership, management, technical and business development skills for the development of our existing Jonesboro Arkansas office. They will be asked to be a mentor and a coach to our team members helping them to develop both personally and professionally. In addition this person will help lead Fisher and Arnold as they lead our Jonesboro, Arkansas office helping to create a growing and successful office as we develop lasting relationships with our clients, provide a high quality professional service, recruit and retain the best employees, maximize the employee experience, nurture a caring environment, and achieve our personal and team goals along the way.
Lead our firm in the development, execution, and sustainability of all areas of the Jonesboro, Arkansas office.
Assist in the leading, creation, development and maintenance of a Jonesboro office strategic plan for growth that will lead the office to success.
Lead the Jonesboro office in developing and building a solid, efficient, productive team of staff members that are adequately utilized and effective.
Lead the day to day efforts in satisfying all project, client and employee needs and expectations.
Manage all project scopes, fees, contracts, billing reviews, invoicing and accounts receivables.
Manage the Jonesboro office staff Evaluations, Compensation and Incentive Program.
Lead in the development of a plan and in the implementation and execution of all personal, professional, managerial, leadership, technical, etc. training for the office.
Become the change agent for best practices and ways to become better in the Jonesboro office.
Lead in developing a recruitment plan process and champion the effort to proactively meet the on-going staffing needs for the Jonesboro office.
Become involved in community activities, committees, boards, etc in order to build a network and presence as a leader in the area.
Collaborate with the Fisher Arnold leadership team to assure consistency in the overall company strategic plan.
Qualifications and Requirements
Past experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Team Manager and Team Leader having worked with multiple projects and multiple clients in both the public and private sectors simultaneously.
Possess good communication and people skills being able to provide and assist in all aspects of client relationships, employee relationships and business development efforts.
Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to unforeseen demands from new situations.
Ability to immediately inspire and gain the confidence of leadership and management through thoroughness of knowledge and timely response to needs and information.
Strong people skills for collaboration, coaching and relationship building purposes.
Experience working in a complex, multi-faceted environment.
Act as a role model and source of knowledge for our team and beyond our team.
Determination to become better, always looking for ways to improve.
Ability to not only solve problems but to be able to look ahead and anticipate potential problems and find solutions to prevent them from occurring.
Ability to see the big picture but be able to pay attention to detail.
Be able to travel occasionally.
Professional Engineer’s License in the State of Arkansas preferable or ability to apply for reciprocity and the ability to become licensed in additional states preferred.
10 years minimum of Engineering related experience requiring significant, independent responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferable) or a related field or MBA in a related discipline.
