The ideal candidate will have an aviation planning/ALP preparation background to assist with strengthening the CAD capabilities in our growing planning practice, as well as the capabilities and desire to perform other aviation planning related tasks. Working with C&S Staff and clients across the country, our Planners have the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of aviation planning, expanding their current aviation planning skills.
Candidates should possess strong CAD skills (preferably Civil 3D) and have experience developing Airport Layout Plan (ALP) drawing sets.

Syracuse/Buffalo/Albany NY; San Diego/San Francisco CA; Scottsdale AZ or Orlando FL.
Typical assignments include assisting with data collection and documentation, technical figure/drawing development including ALP drawing sets, technical report writing, planning-level cost estimating, etc.
Assist in the preparation of calculations, plans/drawings and support documentation for planning projects such as master plans, ALP updates, environmental assessments and other studies.
Coordinate with clients, teammates and stakeholder’s to develop planning alternatives.
Create technically accurate and aesthetically pleasing graphics and figures.
Maintain and/or grow knowledge of aviation planning/design guidance and trends.
Utilize established policies and procedures including CAD standards.
Required Education & Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in preparation of ALP drawing sets/aviation planning.
Intermediate to advanced capabilities in AutoCad including
Bachelor’s Degree in planning, civil engineering or related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Superior analytical skills and problem solving capabilities.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for aviation planning/design.
Ability to build relationships with internal staff and external clients across the country.
Desired Education & Experience
Strong graphic capabilities are a plus (i.e. Illustrator, InDesign or similar software).
Skills with GIS, SketchUp or similar 3D modeling software a plus.
