The Analyst/Quality Assurance (QA) responsibilities include conducting full life cycle analysis to include requirements, activities and queries. The QA Analyst will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality plans to identify improvements. This position develops and conducts quality-training programs as appropriate.
Interpret quality data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports to include metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards
Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain corrective action database and other data systems
Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to drive risk based evaluations of internal reviews and supplier audit schedules
Filter, identify and where appropriate, “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
Use methods of statistical process control (SPC), such as run charts, pivot tables, v look ups, and charts/graphs to present data reports
Participate in the development of Lean/Six Sigma or other principles throughout Company
Assist Auditors with preparation for internal reviews and supplier audits by pulling and analyzing reports from Company systems, identifying appropriate Company operational procedures and regulatory requirements, and creation of audit/review documentation
Maintain records of quality assurance reviews and audits
Assist with analysis of supplier contract/purchasing language for quality requirement inclusion
Analyze Supplier Quality Management Systems for appropriate inclusion of Company requirements
Assist OQA manager with analysis of department budget and ongoing department expenditures
Assist with special project requests for business process mapping/flowcharts
Facilitate or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams when request
Responsible to maintain the QA Manual, communicate and update applicable stakeholders as changes occur and conduct necessary training
Oversee the non-conformity program to ensure effective oversight and analysis of defects associated with suppliers
Assist Management with analysis for inclusion in annual risk based audit scheduling
Assist with the development and delivery of quality assurance training materials to be used in teaching and promoting good quality assurance practices throughout the Company
Evaluate training effectiveness
Evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement measures
Following corrective action, assist with providing follow up to assure that any operational quality deficiencies have been remedied
Facilitate and document quarterly Quality Points of Contact meetings to help divisions cross functional teams working on their improvement projects
Prepare quality newsletters to share information about quality and best practices seen during operational quality assurance reviews
May coach, lead and mentor other team members during RCA or Quality Improvement Projects
Provide ongoing quality-related assistance to the operating divisions
Perform related duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

There are clear precedents and practices that the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed. This position requires three to five years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, statistical analysis positions or the utility industry. This position must successfully attain American Society for Quality (ASQ), Quality Process Analyst certification within two years of accepting position. This position must maintain Quality Process Analyst certification for duration of assignment to Operational Quality Assurance. The incumbent will be encouraged to continue their knowledge, skills and abilities by pursuing other ASQ certifications, such as, the Lean/Six Sigma certification series as appropriate.
