Come help us improve every day! The City of Salina is seeking a new Process Improvement Director due to a retirement. The next successful professional will continue our organization's "Continuous Process Improvement" journey in increasing efficiency, eliminating waste, and applying innovation.
As a member of the City Manager's Executive Staff team, the next Process Improvement Director will use and apply Lean concepts to continue program design, develop standards and practices, train and coach employees, and coordinate and facilitate departmental and cross-departmental projects.

Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, engineering, industrial engineering or related field
Formal training in Lean methods; strong, applied knowledge of Lean methods and processes, with a Lean Certification or equivalent certification preferred
Six years experience in a mid-sized to large organizational setting, including “hands-on” experience with application of Lean tools; three years of lead process improvement and project management experience
Strong proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and possession of a valid Kansas driver’s license within 6 months of appointment
Supervisory experience preferred
