Region 1 Highway Division is recruiting for a region construction engineer to join our management team and lead projects with far-reaching statewide impact. This person must have outstanding communication, human resource management, mediation, and conflict resolution skills and a knowledge of construction and engineering design standards and sound engineering principles. Minimum Qualifications: Four years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for each of the following: a) Development of program rules and policies. b) Development of long- and short-range goals and plans. c) Program evaluation. d) Budget preparation. OR Three years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for each of the following: a) Development of program rules and policies. b) Development of long- and short-range goals and plans. c) Program evaluation. d) Budget preparation. AND 45-48 quarter hours (30-32 semester hours) of graduate level coursework in management.
Professional engineer (PE) registration within the state of Oregon is required. If applicant is registered within another state, comity is required within six months of hire.
Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).
