Career opportunity for a licensed, experienced Professional Engineer (PE) with asset portfolio responsibilities, as appropriate, to provide project management and team leadership for City transportation, stormwater and sanitary sewer utility engineering projects. This position will have a strong focus on pavement design, evaluating pavement condition assessments and providing life cycle management recommendations to City officials.
We seek an experienced engineering project manager capable of best practice supervisory and/or work program team leader responsibilities as required who can maintain high quality standards while moving projects forward within budget and on schedule. Must have the ability to multi task and complete many varying assignments while maintaining appropriate billable hours on work assignments and projects.
Position reports to the Engineering Services Department Director.
Training and Experience:
Current State of Florida Professional Engineer license or current Professional Engineer license from another State that can transfer within six (6) months of hire.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
At least four (4) years directly related engineering experience and project management capacity
Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License or a valid driver's license in another state allowing transfer within 30 days from date of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Training and knowledge of team and leadership best management practices.
Advanced knowledge of municipal engineering practices and procedures including surveying, construction, infrastructure design and drafting techniques.
apply engineering knowledge to specific technical and infrastructure problems and to develop working contract plans and specifications
work as effective project manager and team leader,
communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
coordinate engineering projects and work programs.
