The Director of Corporate Quality is responsible for the development and execution of the strategy and plan for all quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives. Incumbents in this position will direct the quality efforts of the applicable functional area in support of business objectives and will ensure that adequate talent and other resources are available to meet the challenges of the organization.
Ensure that key quality initiatives are deployed consistently at all operating sites.
Oversee and direct the overall quality direction of the corporation and the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Quality management of the company's products including developing and managing measurement systems that incorporate Customer's View of Quality and in-process manufacturing quality.
Develop a quality system for the effective management of purchased finished goods.
Develop a vendor qualification program that ensures that PLZ aligns with qualified vendors capable of meeting high quality standards.
Maintain a quality assessment system to monitor corporate objectives.
Participates in new product design from beginning to end, ensuring that manufacturing process capabilities match customer requirements.
Help sustain a culture that is based on continuous improvement.
Revises and updates the quality control manual.
Take lead responsibility for significant quality issues. Be "hands-on" with the issue, develop a plan to resolve the issue, and communicate the plan and progress on the plan to the organization.
Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems.
Identify areas where product or service quality requires corrective action.
Implement corrective action plans and monitor the effectiveness of the solutions.
Minimum 10 years experience
Proven track record of execution of strategic goals in mid to large company
Mergers and Acquisition exposure/experience preferred
Six Sigma Certification preferred
Lean Certification preferred
Certified Quality Engineer preferred
Minimum Bachelors Degree in scientific or engineering discipline
